"Man, this is baseball. You gotta stop thinking. Just have fun."

I've loved sports for a very long time thanks to my dad, and baseball was one of the first sports I grew up with. And thanks to the universe I found someone who also loves baseball as well I mean come on Squints and Wendy ;)

So I wanted to share my recent dodger game experiences so you guys can have maximum fun as well! Whether it's your first baseball game ever (where have you been lol) or your 50th I hope you find these tips useful!

So pricing....since when did Dodger games become so expensive, luckily you can find great deals on certain games through stubhub or seat geek. I usually make my purchases through stubhub and only get the really nice seats for special occasions like a birthday or fathers day etc. I would say that the best days to get a deal is on the weekdays. Fridays are cool at dodger stadium because not only are the games a little cheaper but they have Friday night fireworks!!! PLUS if you're at field level you're allowed to go down into the field to watch the fireworks! super cool experience def recommend that one day! We did it last year fro Kevin's birthday and it was so nice!

So once you have your tickets---- transportation! Parking at the stadium can be a drag BUT luckily the city of Los Angeles have done an outstanding job with quick easy ways to get to the park.
So first game of the week was with my bestie Alyssa! We have always talked about going to a dodger game together , and I always joke about how when we're moms we're going to take our kids with us and we'll be the cool moms at the game that get on the dance camera.

So usually you can drive and pay $20 in parking BUT sometimes it can take FOREVUUURRRRR to get out of the stadium and off of that hill. So I think it was a little over a year ago (I think) the Expo line was opened which took you from Santa Monica to Downtown! For me usually to get there traffic is the absolute WORST I live in Santa Monica so it can take about an hour and a half to get down to downtown. The metro is mostly convenient if you want to drink or if you're leaving after work to go to the game. I usually get off from work at 5 and games aren't until 7pm most of the time so it's pretty convenient for me to just take the metro skip the traffic AND parking. So for a one way pass it's $1.75. NOW THIS IS FOR ONLY SANTA MONICA/WEST SIDE RESIDENTS!!! because this is the route you'd take if coming from the westside. I luckily live right next to one of the stations so I don't have to worry about parking my car or driving to the station, IF you do though some stations have paid parking spots that last all day!
IF you take the expo metro line you will be paying 4 one way passes, one for the expo line and one more to to union station and the same to go back  home. So to save you the hassle of having to go to each pay station before you board just buy a day pass which is $7, so it works out and you don't have to miss a train while loading your tap card!
Then at Union station, they have Metro buses you can take for FREE up to the stadium, your ticket to the game is your ticket for the bus. Thanks Metro :)

Now luckily I was off from work on the game days so I didn't need to take the metro and low and behold you can actually park at union station for the day for only $8!! Now finding the actual parking lot was a hassle because I thought it would be pretty direct but I'm here to help and show you so you don't have to fuss! You're going to the Union Station EAST 811 N Vignes St, Los Angeles, CA 90012. I didn't have the exact address at the time but THERE YA GO. And if you still have trouble and enter through the front of union I included some map pics for reference and if all else fails.

And if all else fails just look for the Dennys here and you'll be good!

So I decided to do that on both games since it's easier and faster and if you go early you can have the chance to go around and see Placita Olivera with many good Mexican restaurants and treats or take the train to Downtown to see what to eat near by. We went on Thursday game and one thing I thought of was HAPPY HOUR so I looked up the closest place and I found the Karl Strauss Brewery in downtown that had happy hour from 3-6 $5 beer and food bites so a steal! Plus if I drink earlier I don't have to drink later/ I have time to sober up by the time the game is over. So we went there and then went to the game it was awesome and fun even though we lost and the bus ride back to union station wasn't a hassle at all! I was the start to a beautiful tradition with my bestie!

Saturdays game!

So this game I took Kevin for his birthday and we left West LA early to grab a bite to eat and to be at the game early. We got to the Union in less than 40 minutes and went to Pacita Olivera for food, because turns out YOU CAN BRING FOOD INTO DODGER STADIUM so naturally we went to Cielito Lindo for some taquitos and burritos to go.

We    We got to the stadium about 30 minutes before the game started and I went to grab some beer and for a snack I HAD TO TRY THE CHEETO ELOTE and let me tell you SATISFIED!!! It's basically an elote and then it's covered with a thick layer of hot cheeto dust. I LOVED IT! Kevin liked it too but too much cheeto dust which granted I had to scrap some off too but still yummy.

It was a fun game even though we lost but nothing beats watching  a dodger game with Kevin!
