This past weekend I had the lovely pleasure of going to The Lavender Festival in Cherry Valley with Kevin and his mom and grandma! The first time I went to this festival was 2 years ago (I think) with my best friend Alyssa and it was an absolute dream! The drive is far but totally worth it!
The festival takes place at 123 Farm at Highland Springs Ranch & Inn which is a long way from LA but, it's a nice day trip. Kevin's mom picked us up early in the morning and we enjoyed a small picnic lunch that she prepared for us before we headed in. We actually found street parking right by the entrance, but they do have prepaid parking. You can also park for free at the Beaumont High School Stadium and take a shuttle to the festival! Any who, the festival is so beautiful and calm and probably not what you expect.

We had already purchased out tickets online and went by the front and started walking around. They have their cottages open with different vendors in them, a table where you can buy fresh lavender bundles, as well as adults arts and crafts where you can make lavender flower crowns! It was $15 but totally worth it! They also have local musicians play and I swear it felt like I was in the middle of Anne with an E. The played a lot of folk music and covers (Fleetwood Mac anyone?!?) to the crowd and I was so delighted to enjoy music while making my flower crown, it's the small things that make things really great ya know.

We explored a lot of the place! They have their own lavender field on the premises where you can walk through and take pics in! Don't worry there are small patches of dirt specifically made so you can take pics in the fields. (This ain't a poppy fiasco!)

We also walked around the grounds and walked to the 1,000-year-old Oak tree they have and enjoyed a few moments in the shade while listening to the songs of birds and the wind.

The festival doesn't allow outside food but they do allow water! It was 90 degrees the day we went, so if they didn't let us bring in water I'D RIOT. They do have lavender infused food and treats as well! My personal fav was the Lavender lemonade, they also had ice cream, BEER, and wine to enjoy. We were pretty full and satisfied from our lunch so we didn't eat much, but I'd highly suggest trying their food!! They also host an afternoon tea and dinner for an extra price for guests.
We spotted a their free petting zoo of the local farm animals (I believe) and OBVIOUSLY WE COULDN'T SAY NO.

Even though it was hot, it was a delightful day filled with the aroma of lavender. The festival runs until June 30th, so hurry and visit this beautiful and hidden gem soon!
