Salon Experience at L U X A V E D A

Hello friends!
Today I have exciting news to share to you! I cut all my hair! During the spring/summer time I like to cut my hair shorter because of the weather. I was also getting tired of my hair and needed something new. I don't really have a problem with different people cutting my hair, if something is happening where I'm not happy with it I POINT IT OUT, but honestly, I've never had to. Haircuts can be expensive for a lady, some average 50-60 dollars, and as a student I have to count all my pennies. I've been eyeing this Groupon since last year! It's a 50$ voucher towards any style service at Lux Aveda Salon in Downtown Fullerton. Besides the killer deal on this Groupon, I was elated to find a Salon that was completely cruelty free! Aveda products are certified cruelty free! I made my appointment ahead of time for earlier this afternoon and went in without washing my hair.

H A I R  I N S P O:
I wanted to cut my hair short, like really short in my standards. I used to have super long hair and I cut it short but never this short.

My number one inspiration for my hair cut was Diane Guerrero. I wanted something short but with movement and face framing layers. I didn't want anything blunt and I jokingly told my hair dresser, Julian, I didn't want to end up like Lord Farquaad.

T H E  S A L O N:
I usually get to appointments at least 20 minutes early, I like to take my time and not feel rushed when going to appointments and it gives myself and whoever I'm getting with some wiggle room. As I entered I was greeted by a lovely lady and asked if I wanted any complimentary tea or water, but I kindly declined. (surprisingly) I was a few minutes early and I walked around their store where they had all their products displayed and then I finally met my stylist Julian. Julian knew exactly hat he was doing from the beginning to the end. We started with a consultation and I showed him Diane's photo and gave him an idea of what I wanted. He was honestly the sweetest. We went to the shampoo station and he applied a mask as well. Afterwards we went back to the chair and got a quick complimentary head and neck massage that felt sooooo good. I didn't expect this level of spa treatment at all! Julian was the absolute sweetest, it was like talking to a friend the whole time. I felt comfortable and he knew what he was doing so I let him work his magic with the scissors. I was literally beaming from the inside when he was finishing up my hair. It was exactly what I wanted! I booked an appointment with him again six months from now, because after this experience I was definitely coming back.

  1. The motivation behind why hair cutting and diminishing scissors are so costly is a result of the greater quality materials and craftsmanship used to make proficient Shears. Hairdressing scissors made for experts are more costly because of their top notch steel, more keen blades and expert quality assurances.
