Disneyland 4/19

Hello Friends! I'm so excited to make this post about our Disneyland trip! Disneyland, well Disney in general, holds a very special place in my heart for many reasons. It's what I grew up with; the shows, the movies, the songs, I can go on! My dad would always put on three movies Toy Story, Hercules, and Aladdin, along with some princess movies but I never got into them until later years. My family took me to Disneyland every year for my birthday for a long time, I've had many memories at this magical place. Over the years after my parents' separation times at Disney were bittersweet there were moments where I could remember us happy but I knew I could make new memories with friends. ANYWHO Kevin and I visited Disneyland this past week and it was THE BEST DAY EVER and now I want to share with you guys the little tricks you can do to maximize your stay!

So Kevin was an AMAZING BOYFRIEND,  not only did he Disneybounded with me, he lasted about 14 hours at the park! Our Disneybound was young Carl and Ellie from Up and it was the cutest thing ever, a fantasy come true.
First thing you should do is check the weather beforehand, hot? cold? rain? ALWAYS CHECK. If it's cold I usually bring a sweater and a jacket to wear for later. When it's hot I usually wear shorts and something fresh but I bring an extra set of pants for the nighttime in case it does get chilly at night.
So we began our day by getting bagels on the go to the park. Luckily for us, it was only going to rain a little in the morning and stay a cool 66 degrees throughout the day.
Next is choosing what day you go, there are always peak days such as the weekends, spring/summer/winter break, or holidays etc. We went on a Thursday and it was SO EMPTY a Disney miracle.
Alright now the Disney APP, this is a free app that you can download and with the app you can check the wait times, where characters are, restaurant, and you can even get reservations made on the app! The app recently introduced a feature called Max pass which allows you to get fast pass tickets on your phone without having to go send a runner to get the fast pass and you can also download and save photos from Disney photographers or rides! The max pass feature is $10 per ticket holder so it's not bad at all!

This app honestly made the experience so much better, we got so many fast passes! Space Mountain TWICE, THUNDER MOUNTAIN TWICE, MATTERHORN TWICE, TOY STORY MANIA, SOARIN OVER THE WORLD, man things went by quick and fun and we were able to chillll a lot.

Now for food!
Let's be real Disneyland is pricey already, and food is as well. Luckily you can bring your own food in! I would think that's perhaps better for big fam trips BUT DO WHAT YA WILL.
Anywho, so I love three places the Rancho del Zocalo Restaurant, good mexican food with pretty decent portions, the Royal Street Veranda clam chowder in a bread bowl and gumbo in a bread bowl, and lastly we ate at the Plaza Inn with 3 pieces of fried chicken and mashed potatoes that honeslty if you double up on the mash you can share one plate for two.

Now for DRANKS, only place you can get alcohol at Disney is California Adventures unless you're in the Club 33 then LUCKY YOU!
We enjoyed some beer at Karl Strauss and wine at Alfresco Tasting Terrance.
They also have Margaritas,  but they were too syrupy for me not my taste LET ME JUST TAKE THE SHOT. Cove Bar has many special secret menu drinks as well!

Now ride tips, always get a fast pass for space mountain! Now I always suggest going to Indiana Jones first, then Pirates, the Haunted Mansion by that time its lunch time. After lunch is time for your fast pass probs so you go do that and then prob could go on thunder mountain or get a fast pass for it. Matterhorn is a must if it's even open haha. Basically start from the back of the park and work your way back up to the front. California Adventures is basically a free for all see the time slots bc mostly everything will be busy by the time you're done with all the rides you want to do at Disneyland.
FIREWORKS the best place to see the fireworks is in front of the castle,  I usually go for the spot that is next to the Walt and Mickey statue near the popcorn stand/Jolly Holiday.
The Fireworks always have a special place in my heart and I will somehow always cry from them. This year they did a Pixar fest and had the fireworks dedicated to them and I did cry when Up and Coco came on the screen. Toy Story was nostalgic as well that was my favorite movie to watch with my parents.
But this was one of the best days ever and I love Disney so much!
I hope this helps you guys out!
