The Love Witch Meet and Greet Tea Party

Last night was super exciting! I had the pleasure of spending time with my friends, meeting online friends, and the chance to meet the lovely cast of 'The Love Witch!' If you haven't seen The Love Witch you are definitely missing out! The film, directed by Anna Biller, is a blast from the past and absolutely retro eye candy. Elaine is a lovely love-obsessed blue shadowed witch that leaves San Fran after her husband died. She goes to a new town to find a new love in her life and meets with other fellow witches in her coven. The themes of love, femininity, and personality disorders are shown throughout the film BUT, I wouldn't dare ruin the film for those who haven't watched it.

So we arrived in Burbank and pulled up to The Bearded Lady's Mystic Museum! We got in line and the inside of this place is AWESOME! We spent most of our time waiting in line to meet the cast and meeting up with online friends. I entered the costume contest and although I didn't win, there were so many lovely girls in Elaine costumes that were so original and fresh. I decided to go for her painting look with her hair up in curls and a Victorian dress. ANOTHER NOTE, this movie inspired me to be more in touch with vintage Victorian and Renaissance pieces as well, maybe I'll throw in some blue eye shadow once in a while.

Samantha was so lovely, shes like a bambi/angel or real life Disney princess. She had the cutest outfit and I was so nervous talking to her and Anna. They held a Q&A with the cast where Anna spoke about an upcoming project as well as the themes that went throughout the film. The cast also shared their favorite moments to film. We were there all night almost till midnight and I must say BRAVO to the whole cast they really stayed and spent time with everyone!
